When talking about leading women who have excelled in the technology field and are making waves in the tech world in Ghana, we cannot afford not to talk about Angela Kyeremateng-Jimoh. The first female to become country director of IBM in Africa and the first African woman to be appointed Regional General Manager.
She was the Executive Director/Regional Head of IBM North, East, and West Africa from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh is a Ghanaian business leader, Microsoft’s Strategic Partnership and Alliance to Accelerate Lead for Africa.
Education
A Ghanaian, and an old student of Wesley Girls High School and Achiemota School in Ghana. She attended London Guildhall College ( 1997 – 2001) and Harvard University (2014 – 2015)
Work Experience
Kyeremateng-Jimoh, with 20 years of experience in the financial services and Tech industries in Africa and Europe, has excelled in every field she has found herself in. She joined IBM as the Territory Marketing Manager and was responsible for West Africa in 2011. She later moved to Nairobi, Kenya, as Strategy Leader for IBM’s Central, East, and West Africa operations. Before IBM, she worked in the UK for UBS Investment Bank and ABN AMRO Bank.
Her name forms part of the list of board members inaugurated by President Akufo-Addo. These members are responsible for formulating policies for the achievement of the Bank’s objectives
Career
As stated, Angela Kyeremateng-Jimoh serves as a member of the governing board of the Bank of Ghana. Microsoft appointed herself as the corporate law expert and the new African Strategic Partnership Manager in the new Africa Transformation Office in 2022.

She was part of the WomanRaising top 50 Corporate Women Leaders in Gohana in 2016. In 2018, she was awarded the Corporate Personailty of the Year by Glitz Africa. Kyeremateng-Jimoh in 2020 was named among the Top 100 Most Influential Women by Avance Media. Later in 2023, Forbes Afrique honored her as part of the Top 50 Women Managers in Africa.
